Abdul-Hakeem, Ibrahim. “Humans of Education”. Class Archive. Ibrahim Abdul-Hakeem
This source is an interview about why individuals picked college rather than the
workforce. I conducted the information that is included in it. Hence, there’s no new
information that I will be able to obtain from it. However, I can reflect on the past
material to help me pursue my research question. I find it quite helpful in my
approach; I’ll be able to use this source in my upcoming essay by applying my first-
hand experience with it. Thus, be a more dynamic source as I will be interpreting my
own work, rather than someone else’s.
Bettencourt, Genia, M. “But, Do I Need a College Degree?: Understanding Perceptions of
College and Career Readiness among Students Enrolled in a Career and Technical
High School”. National Library of Medicine: National Center for Biotechnology.

This secondary source (journal article) gives a very vital point of information
for my work. It has raw data on the reason why many children find themselves
going to college after high school. However, it also highlights fundamental
components because some individuals won’t attend as well. Before this, I had very
little information other than my interview with college graduates. However, I plan
to apply this side of data to the missing portion of my interview, which allows me
to better understand my research question! This will be a great source of
information in that regard!
Zheng, Hui. “Why Does College Education Matter? Unveiling the Contributions of Selection
Factors. National Library of Medicine: National Center for Biotechnology.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5685179/
Zheng’s article proved to be essential. It provided data on socioeconomic issues and
their correlation to health problems. That information was missing, and my search for
this secondary article was fulfilled. This will directly apply to my research, as it details
each demographic and their shortfalls in college. However, the data displayed is a
perfect example of society's opinion on education from the data collected. It directly
applies to specific groups of individuals, proving that many people must go straight
into the workforce afterward. I plan on using this information as the backbone of the
societal portion of my question, which dives deeper into why people can’t attend
school despite their efforts.
